Hegyi Péter
Péter Hegyi is a Hungarian entrepreneur with a special connection to Africa, and helping the people living there has become his passion.
Peter's story
The foundation's story began two years ago when he first visited one of his friends in Africa. He traveled through several countries, but it was Ghana that touched him the most.
He has always been interested in cultures that differ from European standards. During his time in the western countries of the continent, he realized that the European way of thinking and approach meant little in those areas. A shift in perspective was needed for him to understand and appreciate the spiritual richness of the region, which contrasts with the prevalent deep poverty.

For Péter, his experiences in Africa highlighted how much abundance there is in his own life. The time spent there and the encounters with fantastic, warm-hearted people gave him a true spiritual recharge. Upon returning home, he felt that it was now his turn to give something back.
This is when the idea for the Africa Aid Foundation was born.
He knew that it would be his mission.
When he arrived in Ghana, he already knew that he would have a mission there in the future. He decided to do everything in his power and move every stone to help the local children. Thus, he joined forces with like-minded individuals who recognized that the key to the future lies in education.

In order for more African students to benefit from the support, the generosity of people from wealthier countries is essential.
Like many other countries in the region, Ghana lacks funding sources or allies, so the contribution of developed countries is crucial for the population.
