About the school
Tamale, Ghana
The primary goal of the Africa Aid Foundation is to support the equipment and modernization of the Tamale school, as well as the payment of teachers, so that more Ghanaian children can attend school and, through the knowledge they acquire, create a dignified life for themselves.
A Dream in the Making

The Tamale school, which has been run by Alidu Shaibu and his colleagues for years, was built from nothing – a dream that the dedicated teacher often tried to support with his own resources. Unfortunately, these resources quickly ran out, and as a result, the development of the institution has progressed at a rather slow pace.
The goal of the school
By leading the school, the Tamale team has created an opportunity for underprivileged children living in deep poverty to learn modern subjects and develop their creative thinking. They aim to provide the right conditions for both educators and students, which includes essential elements such as access to drinking water, safe building infrastructure, basic IT equipment, and the payment of teachers.

School of Tamale

The subjects taught at the school include English, mathematics, science, religious and moral education, information and communication technology, as well as the Dagbani language.
However, the lack of storage space and the use of traditional blackboards make learning difficult. The institution employs nine teachers, two assistants, and a night security guard. Due to the relocation of the school and environmental challenges, they have already lost forty students.

What is nedded?
The primary school and kindergarten require televisions and projectors, which the children could use during their break time.
Textbooks, supplementary materials, school supplies, and professional teachers are also essential for ensuring that quality education can take place at the institution.
However, before all of this, the primary challenge is the proper introduction of drinking water and electricity.
